Where to eat on campus

When you only have 10 minutes in between classes, here's some prime Rye-High real estate to cram your pie-hole:

Tim Hortons. The quintessential Canadian icon that brings international tourists together — thanks to a single coffee mug — is located on the second floor of Kerr Hall East, in front of the bridge to the Rogers Communication Centre. Lines are long in between classes here, but students say this Tim Hortons is faster than the one in the Hub, and has better variety than the one in the Engineering Building. The top honour goes to the Tim Hortons in front of the Victoria Building.

Oakham House Cafe. This lesser-known restaurant on the ground floor of the Student Campus Centre serves food that's a step above the Ram in the Rye's pub fare. Specials include quiches that come with fries or salad.

The pasta station at the Hub (open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) Pick your pasta, sauce, one protein and three vegetables for around five bucks. It's one of the few fresh and healthy meals you'll get at the cafeteria. Well worth the wait.
